Château Teillac

Project description
As a graphic designer at Containr Affairs, I led the design for Château Teillac's rebranding—a distinguished winery in Puisseguin near the historic town of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux, France. My work encompassed creating a new wine label, overall brand identity, and website design, modernizing the estate while honoring its authentic roots.

The design concept was: heritage meets contemporary craftsmanship. Inspired by classic Bordeaux wine bottle designs and artisanal French winery labels—featuring traditional typefaces and depictions of the winery—I crafted an identity that blends timeless elegance with a fresh, modern twist. The vision celebrates Château Teillac's passion for craftsmanship and its beautiful inheritance, ensuring versatility for both wine labels, packaging and hotel branding. This approach positions the estate as a premium, multifaceted brand in the global wine market.

Starting with a modern interpretation of the original drawing of the Maison de Maître (the Château), I incorporated a minimalist family coat of arms and a word mark that balances classic elegance with contemporary flair through clean typography. Desgin elements with premium finishes are adding luxury: embossing, gold foil and wax seals for authenticity. Each bottle includes a unique number, emphasizing limited-edition exclusivity. Label variations cater to different ranges. High-end range: black labels with gold foil and black wax on bottle caps for a sophisticated, opulent feel. Accessible range: white labels with black text and cobalt blue wax on bottle caps for approachable refinement.

These elements extend to website design, creating a cohesive digital presence that showcases the vineyard's story, tours, and products seamlessly.
