Casting by Nuray Kurşun
Project description
As the graphic designer and art director for casting director and mother agent Nuray Kurşun, I created a comprehensive brand identity that celebrates diversity and individuality. My role included designing the logo with a custom "ş", stationery suite (compliment cards, writing paper, and business cards), the website and art-directing a photoshoot featuring a selection of the talented individuals she represents.
Raised between two cultures, Nuray Kurşun embodies the belief that strength lies in variety rather than similarity. With a keen eye for distinctive faces and a passion for uniting people, she has built an agency focused on authentic representation. Over the years, she has gained expertise in casting for global campaigns with international brands, prioritizing a work ethic that bridges client needs with talent empowerment for a more inclusive society.
The brand identity serves as a versatile canvas for individual stories and talents, uniting commercial and editorial work in a clean, unified design. The "Casting By" concept enhances this by spotlighting the brands and talents she collaborates with, while the logo revives the original "ş" in a custom form to honor her heritage. The photoshoot reimagines traditional casting portraits in a digital format, using video snippets that animate on hover. Talents were styled in their own clothes to emphasize authenticity, with the website dedicated to showcasing their unique narratives.
